The Albany Metro Mallers are a minor league football team located in Albany, NY. The Mallers came into existence in 1972. The organization has gone through several transformations.
The latest came in 2004 when the Mallers name was reintroduced to the football landscape. Beginning with the 2004 season, the Mallers have amassed a 4-year record of 67-13. The team went to 3 straight Empire Football League championship games, winning in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, the Mallers joined the North American Football League and took the Empire Division title in their 1st season before falling in the second round of the NAFL playoffs.
In 2008 the Mallers have won the Northeastern Football Alliance championship and the USFA Harvest Bowl XII Championship. We will next be playing in DeLand, FL. on January 17, 2009 in the USFA National Championship XX.
